Our team had the opportunity to attend the AI/Teens Conference on Saturday, 15 March 2025, that took place at MoTIV in Kampala, Uganda.
The conference theme, “Empowering Young Minds in AI for a Smarter Future”, resonated deeply with our mission to empower the next generation of scientists, innovators, entrepreneurs, problem solvers, and critical thinkers.
As we took our seats, the conference kicked off with insightful discussions by students, educators, and industry experts on AI. The room was filled with curiosity and enthusiasm as the speakers delved into the world of artificial intelligence, debunking misconceptions and sharing real-world applications.
“Human mind supersedes AI,” said Mr. Arinaitwe Rugyendo, founder of @YoungEngneersUG. “It only depends on how one uses it; some are completely relying on it, hence making their mind weak to think.”
Our coaches took centre stage, showcasing our STEM and Robotics projects to a captivated audience of teens from various schools around Kampala.
The excitement was palpable as the students interacted with our projects, amazed at the innovative solutions and asking thoughtful questions.
The conference provided a unique platform for young minds to connect, learn, and grow. Our team was thrilled to share our passion for STEM education and inspire the next generation of innovators.
At Young Engineers Uganda, we believe in empowering young minds to build a smarter tomorrow, today!
The conference was a testament to the power of collaboration, innovation, and education. We look forward to continuing this journey, inspiring and shaping the future of Uganda’s young engineers.
